Job Title: MiGreatDataLake Data Systems Engineer
Reports To: MiGreatDataLake Project Director
Start Date of Position: December 2025
Location: Remote with occasional daily travel and overnights across Michigan; Candidates must live in MI.

Position Summary: MAISA is seeking a Data System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a modern enterprise data infrastructure with a focus on data ingestion and data processing for our statewide K12 Big Data ecosystem solution called MiGreatDataLake. This position is responsible for ensuring the data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient. The MiGreatDataLake team will work closely with the Project Advisory, MAISA membership, and a variety of data consumers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that enhance data accessibility, integrity, and usability to support data-driven decision-making, improve student outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency.
